Calgary Inter-Mennonite Church (CIM) was formed in May 1976 with membership
in the Canadian Mennonite Brethren Conference
(CMBC) .
In 1990, Calgary
Inter-Mennonite Church
extended its conference membership to include the Mennonite Church Alberta and the Northwest Mennonite Conference of Alberta
(NWC) .
In 1996, CIM joined the Mennonite
Church Canada
At present we are registered as an independent Mennonite church in the
Province of Alberta.
Calgary Inter-Mennonite Church
is a member of the Supportive Congregations Network (SCN) as a publicly
welcoming church. SCN is a network of
Mennonite and Church of the Brethren congregations, friends and families who
openly affirm and welcome gay, lesbian and bisexual people to participate
actively in all aspects of congregational life.
