Marguerite,
On February 26, at the annual conference of Mennonite Church Alberta, the following resolution was tabled with a close delegate vote of 46 to 39.
In the weeks following that decision, the MCA executive and the conference pastor encouraged Calgary Inter-Mennonite Church to withdraw our membership from the conference, with the hope that our absence would calm the turmoil within the conference. After several congregational meetings in which we have struggled with this dilemma, the congregation affirmed that the letter from CIM read at the MCA conference still clearly articulated our position.

Our hope is that as members of MCA and followers of Jesus' way, we all can find a way to be together that is mutually respectful and supportive. It is in that spirit that we respectfully re-submit our letter for your response.
